I am back. It will take awhile to catch up, so please bear with me.
The winter from Hell began with back pain and progressed to a hospital stay and what was supposed to be a simple surgery. The predicted one-night admission ended up being 37 days, 23 in an acute care bed and a further 14 in a Rehabilitation Centre re-learning to walk. I have now been home for a little over 8 weeks. While life is still far from normal, I am very slowly regaining function and strength.
And that's all I have to say about that.
I have had more knitting time than ever before. As well, I have a number of knitting-related irons in the fire, which I'm pleased to share!
- Sock Summit 2011. While I can't give details, I can report that I will be teaching there. Watch their site for further updates
- The Barking Dog Yarns Ravelry group has asked me to participate as a designer this year, and my May Mystery Sock will drop, in pieces, starting May 1st.
- I will be participating in blog tours for some extremely exciting books this year. More to follow.
How was your knitting winter?
