I heard the rumour about a month ago. I was told it was OK to spread the rumour, but not to blog it.
The Yarn Harlot will be in Halifax in August.
August 7th is the date, more information will follow, and it's going to be the biggest, baddest east-coast style event EVER.
That is all. Tell 100 friends. Ask them to tell 100 friends.
Coming from parts beyond commuter zone? I'm in Truro. I have a spare room. I have couches. I have a minivan.
Good times.
La squeeeeeeeeeee!

I just checked her schedule, she's going to be in LA in September. Might just have to make a trip into LA (UGH) for that.

I am glad that the Harlot is coming to a store near you! When she came to Chicago a few months ago it was the best day ever! Hooray! :)

Before we get so excited about YH coming to Nova Scotia and invite people to come to hear her ... I have some sobering news.
The Regency Ballroom at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax doesn't hold a whole hell of a lot of people.
I've just done some online checking.
The Regency Room is 76' by 35'. Depending on how things are set up, it has a maximum capacity of 300 people theatre-style.
For a reception, the number of people rises to 350, but I'm sure that nobody wants to stand all the while that YH talks.
Other seating arrangements are all smaller numbers of people - class style is 115 people; with dining ovals, it is 120 people; a Board room style is 60 people; in a hollow square it is 76 people and a U-shape is 68 people.
Groan!
Guess we'll just have to get there early eh?
Happy knitting,
Janey
P.S.I have spent hours trying to find out where you were in Nova Scotia, based on "3 hours to Halifax", etc. - with no luck until your YH comment.
I'm in the Annapolis Valley (Wolfville) so 3 hours to Halifax TO ME meant that you were in Yarmouth or Liverpool or some place like that.
But now I know!
Sorry for being a bit anal about the size of the Lord Nelson Ballroom ... I guess it's too late to aim for the Metro Centre.
