I know I said I'd blog more in 2007, but a family emergency had me out of province for the better part of the week. Now that I've been reunited with Mr. Pharm and the adorables, I'm glad to be back at the computer.
I have a lot to share, knitting and otherwise.
The same family emergency that took me away last week has led me to leave my job for the foreseeable future. It was bizarre to leave today, to take my mug off my hook and cross my name off the schedule. Such is life. Work will wait. I have had a terrific six months. Working casual meant working anything from one to five days a week, allowed my kids to get into a terrific daycare, and gave me lots of socialization and fulfillment. Will I miss it? Hell, I do already. Will I be back? Absofrickinlutely. Hopefully by March.
I returned to a PVR full of my latest guilty pleasure. I can't help myself. I am Canadian. I am a child of the 80s. It can't be helped.
I am a Degrassi freak.
I avoided the new show when it first came out, assuming it couldn't possibly live up to the original(s). I was wrong.
I am still working my way through the old episodes, while keeping up with the two (!) weekly new episodes. OK, first the old.
The references to the old show kill me! Broomhead, Zit Remedy, Joey's hat, all of them. I was also quite excited to see Mad Dog and Billie DJing the dance. I remember Mad Dog as Jay McNeil, first on our Maritime version of Breakfast Television, then on the morning show at Halifax's Q104. He is super nice, somewhat of a local and apparently quite famous now!
OK, the new.
They killed JT! Those bastards!
Knitting content to follow. Apparently I'm not the only person in the household who uses the computer. Who knew?

I too love Degrassi...I've become hooked on the reruns in the afternoon since I work at home most days.
I haven't been following the new ones at night, but, I KNEW IT! I could tell from the commercials that JT was being killed off :(
