Downsizing Diamante

Someone posted on their blog that they were hoping to do Diamante over 60 stitches instead of the 72 in the pattern.

Here is a scaled-down graph for a 60-stitch Diamante.  Do be sure to swatch, however, to ensure you don't take it down way too small!

You know, at first I thought 72 sounded like a lot. But I got gauge and went for it. And even though it looks biggish, when I try it on, it fits perfectly! I really think that sock knitters set in "their stitch #" really need to keep their minds open. They might be surprised.
